A VOD (video-on-demand) is a saved recording of a live stream, available for replay after the broadcast ends. On YouTube, VODs auto-generate with full platform distribution; on Twitch, VODs expire after 14 days (60 for Partners) unless highlighted or exported. VOD monetization and searchability are YouTube’s structural advantage over Twitch.
